Who’s Behind This Site
Here’s a Sneak Peak at Who’s Behind GuitarPlayerU…
This site was founded by a struggling guitar player, and a guitar expert!
Keith Cannone
My name is Keith (left), I’m not a master guitar player, far from it. That is what makes this website so different. I created this website because I was tired of buying books/dvd’s and not learning from them. I was frustrated with taking expensive private lessons from teachers that spent half of the time “showing off” or talking about themselves.
About a year or so ago, I met a few great teachers that made me ten times the player I used to be and I made it my goal to create a site that could help thousands, maybe millions of people play better! So we will be tackling this guitar thing together.
On this website you will only find guitar lessons that will help you get better, in a shorter period of time. Enjoy the free lessons and leave us feedback so we can keep making this site better. Enough about me, here’s a little bit about our teachers.
Drew Krag
My name is Drew Krag (on the right), I have been teaching people the beautiful art of the playing the guitar for over eight years. I have been a student of music since 1986 when I began to learn to play guitar, drums, bass and jazz piano.
I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a B.A. in Jazz Performance/ Audio Production/ Music Business where I learned and mastered many styles like jazz, classical, rock, and much more!
I also attended the National Guitar Workshop for four years where I received instruction from: Jim Hall, John Scofield, Mark Jacobson, John Ambercrombie, Mike Stern, Ronnie Earl, and many more. But more importantly, I just love to play and love to help people get better. I hope you enjoy this site for years to come.

Hi Guys,
I like whatI see and read.. i am also a very educated Pro-Musician now retired who graduated with Masters in Music theory / and Tymapni, Percussion with concentration in Orchestral playing which i did for 5 decades culminating as Principal Tympanist . Percussionist with The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra at Lincoln Center in New York. I taught for many years and understand teaching very well and that is why you guys can hdelp an aging Man with rloots in Jazz (Vibes, Drums) before attending Conservatory and playing as a teenager at Jazz spots in Beantown such as Storyville, The stables (with Herb Pomeroy) and many others and then my road drifted me towards the classics which I lovde but not as much as jazz. My jazZ background was usfefull in both peras like Porgy & bess and kurt weill Operas where i kicked ass on Jazz drums as I had donein Broadway shows in Boston making there final stop before broadway. This was during school days.. Thanks for trying to make me lean towards as a “Guitar – ist” if I live long enlough as i still have the same BURN for Music as I did as Kid at 7 years old starting Drum and vibe lessons..
